What is the deal with a thread getting thousands of veiws and only tens of posts?  It's too bad the boards don't see a little more activity.

Believe it or not I questioned that some time ago.
I am of the opinion the members are incredibly shy

I was sure I had also made a post that said nothing basically just to see if I could inspire some responses. Can't find it so maybe I did that in my other world.

I'm guessing this thread will generate lots of reads, but virtually no one will answer

For me it's mostly just about time. I love this forum, this site and all the related sites but I get squished for time to watch and particpate. I guess osme folks just like to read and not get so involved, I have a bunch of lovely readers at my blog but just a few comment - that's the way things are - people participate how they can.

Agreed, most "lurk" which leaves it up to the extroverts and/or creative types to come up with topics that inspire comments.

sometimes i would like to see these forums become more active, but then again, they are a quiet (but not vacuous) alternative to the fucken brawl that always seems to be going on in the forums at ifeelmyself.com.  i'd recommend that to you for more engaged discussion, avinashi, but you must go in with a well-trained bullshit detector and a sharpened sword...it's not for the faint of heart. 

that being said, sometimes i love to get my hands dirty over there and i think i learn a good bit from it.
