This was inspired by a great quotation provided by Ell in another thread: http://www.beautifulagony.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=91 (I think I got that link right). This is the post to which I'm referring:
I'd have to second the Roy Stuart recommendation, some very hot and engaging sexy stuff, well worth a look. I have all his books and the DVD that came with "The Fourth Body", in the forward he says...
"When you're dealing with an energy called human sexuality, it's one energy, but with different levels. At its lowest it's a physical irritation, that sparks a quest for something that results in a release. Yet at its highest it can transform a person, take you into another dimension. Meditation was discovered through the practice of sex. Meditation is the one way to get you out of the mind, where there are no more thoughts, no inner dialogue, where you can approach transformation or transcendence. That's the highest point, as opposed to being stuck at the lowest, unrefined raw level as in pornography where they're just depicting a ridiculous pantomime of people desperate for relief. We're trying to create a model of something better." Roy Stuart
This addresses well the topic of that thread, and now I'm going to turn it towards something completely different.
I could see this general understanding producing a pragmatic argument about some kinds of birth control (hear me out). With condoms in particular, it has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact they serve as birth control or as protection. They are simply a less refined version of the same act.
It's not that the physical act with such augmentation is any less sublime than without -- any more than generic porn is less erotic/artistic/attractive than things like BA and the other examples, which require more taste and restraint. It's just that sex dependent on those means seems to be aimed at those lower levels of physical irritation, much like masturbation when greater interaction is available.
Of course, striving for sex without the barrier requires a great deal of effort, foresight, and responsibility, much like, well, the more refined versions of pornography. It's only for those who take it really seriously, who viciously prefer transcendence to satisfaction, etc. etc.
Well, that's my illicit comparison. Wandering around my present living space with only one sock on, it occurred to me that the quotation appears to apply just as much to the sex act itself as to portrayals of it. Any thoughts on this suggestion?

Hi PC elmo, I have 2 videos from Roy Stuart, Glimpse1 and Glimpse 2. Fantastic work and explicit. Just like in BA and abbywinters, Roy Stuart works with girls (and guys) who are natural (not acting). They look fresh, enjoying themselves and seem not making that for the money. That approach changes everything. What makes a performance pornographic or artistic lies in the intention which can be seen on the face or the way the performers behave. I disagree when some people say that if BA shows more than face and shoulders, that will turn into pornography. The intention makes the difference.

Even with artistic intention, BA just wouldn't be the same with nudity. That's why we have the abbywinters'es and Roy Stuarts of the world!

Actually you are right, a breast, a belly or somewhat else alone will not turn this site into a pornographic one...
But that's not the point.
Even with artistic intention, BA just wouldn't be the same with nudity.
The intention (!) of this site from the very beginning was to show the face as the most erotic part of the human body. Every change towards other forms of presenting the submissions would most probably destroy the intention of the former idea...
